Andrew Matheson has accepted his second independent award for
Optometrist of the year. Yesterday Andrew was given his latest trophy by Chris
Bennett, Editor and Associate Publisher of Optician at Optician Magazine.
The Optician Awards 2014 presentations were made at a black tie
dinner and evening of entertainment at the Hilton, Park Lane on Saturday
12th April 2014. Unfortunately Andrew was away on holiday during the
event. Scott Mackie of Mackie Opticians kindly
accepted the award on Andrews behalf.

multiple industry suppliers, Chris Bennett said the event was all about
recognising and rewarding excellence, as well as honouring those in the
profession who had made an outstanding contribution to eye care and optics.This
award follows another accolade from the Macular Society who also awarded Andrew
with the title Optometrist of the year, a result of numerous patient nominations.
